Fabrication and Machining

Fabrication of a single part or entire assembly on a skid is nothing new at Palmer. Whether it's one off design or the replication of hundreds of the same type unit, we have the staff and expertise to get the job done. Our experience in working with exotic metals and material handling gives us a unique ability to create long lasting equipment ideally suited for any need. Palmers ability to work with complex designs and exotic materials puts us in a postion to offer methods and techniques that our customers value.

Field Services

The Palmer companies have the tools to do things in the field that normally require you to bring them to us. Sometimes the piece of equipment is too difficult to remove or transport to our facility for service, so we come to you. Portable welding, surfacing and milling are all part of our service here at Palmer. We can also assist with the shutdown, maintenance and start up of the operation as part of our service.

Material Coatings and Hard Surfacing

Our expertise in the application of Hard Surfacing, Hard Facing and special coatings including HVOF is a plus. It means that you can use us as a single source for your creation, fabrication, coating, delivery and the setup of your project. this means less hand off from one source to another and reduces the bottom line cost of ownership. By partnering with Palmer you eliminate multiple points of project responsibility. This reduces confusion about the status of the project and eliminates the need to relay information from one contractor to another.

Star (Rotary) Valve Specialist

The Palmer Companies have become an industry leader in innovation for Rotary Valves our units consistently outperform similar models. As we became more familiar with the problems and typical throwaway valve we started to improve and redesign existing models to give our clients better and longer lasting performance from their valves. In doing so we created a concept that has grown into the XD (eXtreme Duty) Rotary Valve line. These Star Valves typically last 4 or 5 times as long as other valves. This longevity reduces the cost of ownership 3 fold. First the cost of the XD valve over the same period is less than the throwaway type. Second the XD valve reduces the cost of labor and down time due to swapping out a defective valve. Third the XD valve is designed to be easily repaired at a cost in line with the cheaper throwaway model. And after repair it will perform the same as a new XD valve.

Engineering/Design Services

We offer an in house Design and Engineering capability for the creation of new, or upgrades to, existing equipment. Our customers have come to rely on our experience to solve some of the most unique and daunting problems in their industry. Our goal in design is to cut the cost of the product by reducing the number of steps used to create the part and to increase the life cycle of the equipment we build for our customers.

Many of our customers have patented equipment and processes that require a high level of confidentiality. To that end we have our own policy and procedures for restricting access to your sensitive information this includes all drawings, documents and even the equipment while it is being created. Each and every employee and private contractor is under our signed agreement and we hold them to a high standard for client confidentiality.
